Position Summary
The Medical Information Officer is responsible for promoting Julphar’s products and services to healthcare providers, KOLs, and other key stakeholders in an assigned territory or market.
The MIO acts as a trusted advisor for Julphar’s customers, facilitating their buying decisions by providing therapeutic solutions that meet their needs and expectations.
As the on‑ground ambassador of the organisation, the Medical Information Officer always showcases Julphar’s core values and business ethics, maintaining the company’s image and reputation.
In addition, the position requires identifying and evaluating new customers, maintaining loyal customers, and ensuring proper implementation of Julphar CRM strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Develop and manage the assigned sales territory, including customers, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
- Implement the company’s sales and marketing plan in the assigned territory.
- Execute territory coverage plans (number of sales calls & visit frequency).
- Deliver customer‑centric activities in coordination with the line manager.
- Maintain records, daily reports, customer profiles, and marketing feedback reports.
- Plan work schedules and weekly/monthly timetables.
- Submit daily, monthly, and CRM reports according to the country reporting system.
- Participate and contribute to all company meetings and present a territory snapshot.
- Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the company’s ambitious growth.
- Stay self‑learning, update knowledge, build desired skills and competencies, interpret information, and present it to health professionals.
Territory Development & Strategy Implementation
- Organise audio‑visual activities for healthcare providers in coordination with the line manager and marketing manager.
- Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of the latest clinical data supplied by the Medical & Marketing Department.
- Monitor competitor sales and marketing activities and report market intelligence appropriately.
- Stay informed about important local health service activities.
- Effectively use company promotional tools, FMS (free medical samples), and services to achieve assigned targets.
- Continuously prospect for new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Key Experiences
- Minimum 4 years bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Science (mandatory).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (highly advantageous).
- 2–4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong working knowledge of distributor/agent operations, government accounts, tendering processes, contracting, and pricing methods (where applicable).
- Functional knowledge of the clinical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, moderate understanding of supply chain, dispensing requirements, and drug distribution channels.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with country teams, marketing and medical teams in the head office.
