Librarian - Abu Dhabi, UAE


We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources and providing assistance to library users.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and multimedia materials
- Catalogue new materials using the Library of Congress classification system
- Assist library users in finding and checking out materials
- Provide reference services and answer inquiries from library users
- Develop and implement programs to promote reading and literacy within the community
- Maintain accurate records of library circulation, inventory, and budget
- Train and supervise library staff members
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Librarian
- Fluent in Malayalam language (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

This is a full-time position with no English language requirement. We offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates from outside of the UAE. Accommodation is not provided. This position is urgent so candidates must be available to start immediately.
