Job summary

A global engineering and construction company in Sharjah is seeking an experienced engineering professional with over 15 years in the offshore oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering and have strong skills in design calculations for subsea pipelines and cables. Familiarity with DNV standards and relevant software is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of related Oil and Gas industry experience, preferably from consultancy organizations or EPC.
• Minimum of 10 years within the offshore oil & gas industry.
• Conversant with international codes & standards such as API and DNV.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design calculations and studies for subsea pipelines.
• Engage in route selection and optimization for subsea cables.
• Perform on-bottom stability assessments and thermal expansion calculations.

Job description

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering, Preferred Master in Subsea or Ocean Engineering.

• Minimum of 15 years of related Oil and Gas industry experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations / EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience within the offshore oil & gas industry working for Offshore Engineering consultants / EPCI Contractors. Experience in Subsea Pipeline DNV suit / Stablelines / FATFREE / CAESAR / Autopipe Stress Analysis
• Conversant with the relevant international codes & standards such as API, DNV etc. Familiar with Oil and Gas Company’s standards such as Saudi Aramco’s Standards, ADNOC Standards, SHELL DEPs, BP Guidelines etc.
• Software Knowledge - CAESAR, DNV Software, Mathcad, SAGE, AGA, ABAQUS
• Design calculation and studies- Subsea Pipeline - On-bottom stability assessment, Wall thickness calculation, Pipeline Thermal Expansion, Crossing analysis
