Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the hotels computer networks including wired and wireless networks ensuring optimal performance security and reliability.
  • Provide technical support for all hardware and software used within the hotel including computers printers POS systems property management systems (PMS) point of sale systems and other specialized hotel applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by hotel staff or guests in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the hotels IT infrastructure from cyber threats including malware viruses and unauthorized access.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data breaches.
  • Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software including researching vendors obtaining quotes and ensuring that purchases align with the hotels budget and technology requirements.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to hotel staff on the proper use of IT systems and software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records documentation and inventory of all IT assets configurations and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and future upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations industry standards and best practices related to IT security data privacy and technology usage within the hospitality industry.
  • Stay updated on advancements in information technology and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve guest experiences operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
  • Prior experience in IT support preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in networking operating systems (Windows Linux) hardware troubleshooting and software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g. CompTIA A Network Security) is a plus.
