Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain profitable relationships with brokers and intermediary partners assigned to you by consistently delivering a high standard of customer service and proactively identifying opportunities to win new business and grow your portfolio.
  • Proactively manage all aspects of your assigned broker portfolio, including preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, raising discount requests, and supporting all intermediary sales requirements through both inbound and outbound interactions.
  • Support the onboarding of new broker clients by coordinating internal processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and completing all required system entries to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for brokers via phone calls and the shared sales mailbox, ensuring timely responses, effective issue resolution, and consistent communication.
  • Work closely with Business Development Consultants to support the day‑to‑day management of their portfolios, providing sales, administrative, and operational support to help achieve overall business targets.
  • Accurately record and maintain all client, quotation, and negotiation data within internal systems, ensuring data quality, transparency, and audit readiness at all times.
  • Maintain agreed Turnaround Times (TATs) by prioritising workload effectively, ensuring timely preparation of quotations, responses to broker enquiries, onboarding activities, and follow‑ups, while managing competing deadlines across the assigned portfolio.
  • Manage your sales pipeline and targets by proactively following up on opportunities, generating new leads through outbound calls, and maximising conversion within your intermediary portfolio.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues to support the resolution of complex broker queries and deliver effective customer outcomes.
  • Keep up to date with competitor offerings, market trends, and regional developments, sharing insights with colleagues and using this knowledge to support negotiations and win profitable business.
  • Continuously monitor and improve personal performance against agreed objectives by actively participating in training, coaching sessions, and workshops, and applying new skills to daily activities.
  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable regulatory, data protection, and internal governance requirements at all times.
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • A proven track record is essential with extensive experience, from the Medical Insurance sector or a brokerage background, relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
  • Experience of selling high value consumer products and service to high net worth consumer segment
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding sales and quality targets
  • Excellent ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and excellent analytical skills
  • Outcome and delivery focused
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own or within a team and promote a positive attitude
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Packages and CRM Systems
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent written and spoken English
