The Department of Cognitive Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University has a vacancy for an Instructor in Philosophy. AOS and AOC are open, but the successful candidate would be expected to teach General Education courses in applied ethics (e.g., Principles of Professional Ethics) and critical thinking. Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student advising, and mentorship at the undergraduate level. The candidate is expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Philosophy program within the Cognitive Science department and actively engage in promoting the broader mission of the UAE University. The UAEU is located in the city of Al Ain (emirate of Abu Dhabi), on the border with Oman and about 1.5 hours’ drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities.
