Role overview

An In-Room Dining Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is responsible for leading and overseeing all In-Room Dining operations delivering a seamless refined and anticipatory guest experience in line with Waldorf Astoria brand and Forbes Travel Guide Standards. The role is accountable for upholding the highest levels of luxury service operational excellence and financial stewardship while ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory close partnership with the Director of Food & Drinks the In-Room Dining Manager drives the development and execution of business strategies that enhance guest satisfaction optimize revenue performance and consistently deliver exceptional personalized in-room dining experiences.

What will I be doing

As the In-Room Dining Manager you will be fully accountable for the operations of Room Service and Minibar leading all processes to ensure a seamless refined and anticipatory guest experience while achieving the highest standards of operational excellence. Specifically you will:

  • Lead and inspire the Room Service and Minibar teams ensuring targets are met and exceeded while promoting individual development and a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth efficient and consistent delivery of service aligned with Waldorf Astoria brand standards and Forbes Travel Guide requirements.
  • Drive the development and execution of innovative ideas to enhance the range quality and presentation of Food & Beverage offerings.
  • Optimize revenue performance and manage costs identifying areas for action and ensuring adherence to departmental budgets.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with all hotel company and statutory policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example demonstrating exemplary behavior and professionalism across all operational areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure coordinated and seamless service delivery.
  • Train mentor and develop employees to ensure they have the skills knowledge and confidence to perform at the highest standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels proactively addressing feedback and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan and manage staffing schedules ensuring adequate coverage across 24/7 operations while maintaining fair team rotation.
  • Ensure all operational and safety standards are met including health & safety hygiene COSHH manual handling and risk assessments.
  • Maximize all upselling opportunities and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Lead departmental administration including documentation performance appraisals and reporting as required.
  • Champion a culture of learning engagement and recognition ensuring that all team members feel valued and motivated.
