What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests :

  • You will be responsible for assisting in the overseeing of the Housekeeping Operations to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
  • You are responsible to assist the Assistant Executive Housekeeper & Senior Housekeeper in the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and guide and develop a committed multicultural team to ensure the impeccable Dorchester standards are met in all areas.
  • Assists in the oversight of the daily shift operations of Housekeeping. Works with colleagues to ensure property guestrooms, public space and colleagues areas are clean and well maintained.
  • Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action.
  • Ensuring guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
  • You’ll also participate in the management of the department’s controllable expenses.
  • Liaise with external contractors to ensure work schedules are completed as per requirements includes marble polishing, carpet shampooing, façade cleaning and casual employees.
  • Prepare cyclical cleaning schedule for all public areas and liaise with engineering for the PPM program.

  • You will guide, lead and motivate the housekeeping team with passion and commitment.
  • You will assist with all recruitment processes, departmental training and disciplinary procedures.

  • You will be knowledgeable of PMS and be computer literate.
  • You will be able to conduct inventories and management of equipment, chemicals and consumables in order to maintain financial awareness.
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong guest service ethic.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
  • You will have a least 2 years’ experience in a similar position in a luxury 5 star hotel.
  • You will have a high school education.
