Job Purpose
- Responsible for the product discovery lifecycle and its success.
- Identifies potential products in aviation domain and oversees the development of the products concepts in line with commercial objectives
- Approves Artefacts roadmap (long and short term plans) budgets and pricing for product introduction launching and promoting.
- Ensuring delivery of usable emotionally attaching and inspecting products that meet users expectations
Key Result Responsibilities
- Accountable for the success of delivery, owns the entire product backlog and delivery activities, this includes grooming development teams, responding to queries of the development team promptly.
- Guides the development team at each sprint and removes any roadblocks to enhance their performance. Ensures that products are delivered within the timelines agreed.
- Ensures stories are ready before the sprint start, matching definition of ready and having clear acceptance criteria.
- Manages and prioritizes the product backlog along with the Product Manager which matches product vision and client needs.
- Liaise between business and development teams to deliver continuous value.
- Reviews visual designs developed by UX team.
Key Result Responsibilities – Continued
- Reviews test cases written by QA team.
- Stays abreast with market trends and new technologies in the domain, researches and conducts comparative analysis with competitors to recommend best practices.
- Monitors the development and product teams performance and escalates any potential performance deviation to Product Managers.
- Represents ISA in clients meetings, solicits feedback on products and services regularly.
- Performs any other additional duties as directed by the Product Manager,Senior Product Manager.
- Acts as a Product Manager in absence of Product Manager.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Bachelors Degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science Math or equivalent
- Certified SCRUM Master or Professional Certified Product Owner or CSPO is a plus
- PMP and Prince II are added value
- Strong technical background with understanding in software development
- Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA
- Fluent in English Language
Work Experience
- 12 plus years of experience in product management as Product Manager in B2B, B2C enterprise environment working on designing Airlines products or providing IT Airline services such as Ground Handling/PSS/ Crew Management or in an IT Solutions company offering airline products
- Subjectmatter expert in technical management, technical solutions design, and architecture
- Proven track record of leading a successful product throughout its lifecycle and drives decision-making process
- Thorough understanding of UI or UX design previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
- High sensitivity to emotive humandriven design principles combined with solid understanding of commercial market trends and transforming them to design concepts
- Has successfully applied Agile Development and SCRUM Methodologies within the working area
- A motivational leader capable of driving team to deliver the best user interface experience possible
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information
- Expert in market researches and benchmarking studies recognizes and embraces best practices in the domain
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff colleagues cross-functional teams and third parties
- Result oriented and has a sharp and artistic eye that recognizes fine art
- Expert in drafting policies and procedures and conducting feasibility studies
- Hands on preparing and analyzing business performance reports
- Comfortable working with financials hand-on preparing budgets and cost estimates
- Employs technical expertise and interpersonal skills to execute new initiatives and achieve companys objectives
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs
