Beond is seeking a Ground Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate Ground operations at Dubai (DWC), ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft turnarounds.
This role provides continuous on-site supervision of outsourced ground handling activities, with a focus on turnaround control, service provider oversight, and on-time performance (OTP). Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage day‑of‑operations, address irregularities, and support consistent operational performance and passenger experience at DWC.
Responsibilities
- Provide on‑site supervision and coordination of aircraft turnarounds at DWC, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely ground operations
- Oversee outsourced ground handling services, including ramp activities, aircraft servicing, fueling coordination, load control, and baggage handling
- Act as the primary operational interface between the ground handling agent, flight crew, and OCC during ground time
- Monitor ground operations performance and actively manage delays, with particular focus on turnaround milestones and OTP improvement
- Ensure passenger handling processes support a consistent and professional experience from check‑in through boarding, in coordination with the handling agent
- Liaise with airport authorities, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Beond procedures, and local regulations
- Identify operational risks, service deficiencies, and non‑compliances, and initiate immediate corrective actions where required
- Support investigations, reporting, and follow‑up actions related to delays, incidents, or operational irregularities
- Provide regular operational feedback and performance reports to Head of Ground Operations and Ground Operations Manager Outstations
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Operations, or a related field (relevant operational experience may be accepted in lieu of formal qualification)
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in airline ground operations, ramp, load control, or station operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience in aircraft turnaround coordination, including oversight of ramp operations, passenger handling, baggage, and outsourced ground services
- Working knowledge of aviation regulations, airside safety requirements, and ground handling standards, with exposure to IOSA or similar audit frameworks considered an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing operational demands, and maintain situational awareness during live operations
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, disruption‑prone operational environment, including irregular operations and time‑critical decision‑making
