Role Overview

As a Graduate Roads & Highways Engineer at AECOM you will be a key member of our Highways team working on impactful road design projects and gaining exposure to essential design software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in preparing scope of works documents and project design criteria.
• Apply Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures to ensure sound and coordinated design across disciplines.
• Gain experience in road design including plans profiles typical sections cross sections and signage.
• Utilize PowerPoint to create presentations and progress reports.
• Demonstrate strong communication and technical report writing skills.
• Develop proficiency in road design software.
• Familiarity with engineering standards codes of practice and local authority guidelines is advantageous.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with courses taken in Roads/Highways related subjects from an accredited University
• Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOMs Graduate Program.
• Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
• As part of AECOMs commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
