Job summary

A construction firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Foreman to supervise construction activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and allocate resources efficiently. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of relevant experience, especially in high-rise construction and hotel projects, and possesses a diploma in civil engineering. Qualifications

Job Purpose

Responsible for the allocation, movement & supervision of plant, equipment, material, labour & operatives. Reviewing quality of work and progress required, ensuring safe working conditions, ensuring materials are available to avoid delay to the project and monitored and stored correctly. Key responsibility is productivity from labour/operatives/trades.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures work gets executed as per the tasks given by the Engineer and the same is measured and the daily production is submitted to the line manager.
  • Ensure the method statement and risk assessment are available prior to starting of activity.
  • Allocates work to labour and ensures all daily tasks given is properly executed in accordance with coordinate drawings and all executed work is properly checked for quality and correctness.
  • Directs Construction in accordance with the daily program and 2 week look ahead program
  • Ensures health and safety of the site and worker.
  • Ensures required housekeeping to enable efficient working
  • Checks and controls the quality of ongoing and completed works.
  • Carries out level and survey work in conjunction with the land surveyor
  • Plans and prepares material / equipment arrangement for the following days to enable efficient working.
  • Arranges daily production reports. As part of the ‘DAP’ process and monitor outputs.
  • Allocates of plant, material & labour as per productivity norms for optimal utilization. Distribution of work between labours to optimize output. Resources productivity issues.
  • Assists in forecasting requirement of Labour, Material & Plant/Machinery.
  • Is aware of the content of Tool box talks, monitors and correct them where required.
  • Mentors, teaches and develops labour for skill improvement.
  • Complies with all applicable Management Systems (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental, etc.,) in his area.
