Job description
Finance Officer
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting and other assigned activities.
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing financial models for forecasting and decision-making.
  • Assist in annual budgeting process.
  • Monitor budget variances and report on significant variances.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, corporate tax and annual ESR notifications.
  • Manage and optimize financial systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in financial operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial perspective on operational issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments as required and ensure that relevant departments are kept informed of pertinent updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (ACCA Finalist, CMA) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and International Financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
