A leading glazing design firm in Dubai seeks an experienced professional in aluminium and glazing design. Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering and possess over 6 years of experience in the facade or curtain wall industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D/3D modeling software is essential. Strong understanding of facade systems and excellent coordination and communication skills are required. Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare concept schematic and detailed design/shop drawings for aluminium and glazing systems.
• Develop fabrication drawings cutting lists and material takeoffs based on approved designs.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create accurate glazing layouts and system details.
• Coordinate with faade engineers structural consultants and other disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Ensure all designs meet project specifications codes thermal and structural performance criteria and aesthetic standards.
• Incorporate system supplier guidelines (e.g. Schco Technal Reynaers etc. into design output.
• Revise and update drawings based on client/consultant comments and site conditions.
• Support tender submittals RFIs and technical queries related to aluminium and glazing works.
• Work with BIM models and/or CAD tools to ensure clashfree and coordinated design output.
• Assist in the development of standard details and design libraries.

Key Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Architecture Civil Engineering or related field.
• 36 years of experience in aluminium/glazing design (preferably in faade or curtain wall industry).
• Proficient in AutoCAD Revit and 2D/3D modeling software; knowledge of BIM workflows is a plus.
• Strong understanding of faade systems aluminium extrusions and glazing solutions.
• Familiarity with fabrication and installation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
