About this role
  • Manage 25-30 member relationships and participate in account planning with Gartner Leadership Client Managers and Account Executives.
  • Assist members to achieve their Mission Critical Priorities by leveraging the appropriate Gartner assets.
  • Leverage subject‑matter expertise to create service solutions for members and multi‑member accounts.
  • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member needs and developing a customized engagement plan in line with the overall product strategy and deliverables.
  • Define and conduct on‑site briefings for clients at their location to support key initiatives.
  • Participate in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre‑sale, onboarding, relationship management, delivery, review and renewal.
  • Contribute to region growth through direct support of Gartner Sales in prospect cultivation, account plan development and value demonstration activities, while ensuring member retention.
  • Host and/or participate in periodic onsite member activities, including workshops, research analyst visits (where appropriate), round tables and webinars in collaboration with Gartner Research.
A typical day might look like
  • University graduate (Masters preferred) with 10+ years’ working experience in a senior sourcing, procurement, VM, or IT finance role for 5+ years, or with experience in other SVM or procurement areas such as consulting.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the IT industry, its vendors and suppliers, and the role of senior SVM, procurement, finance and IT leadership.
  • Experience in strategy development, organization design, initiative management, metrics application and awareness of major industry trends.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and an evolved ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations.
You may have
  • University graduate (Masters preferred) with 15+ years of experience in senior management roles.
  • Successful experience as CEO, General Manager, CTO, Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Strategist, Head of Innovation Lab, or similar roles.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a deep understanding of business and new technology product and service launches.
  • Experience managing a P&L for a sizeable organization.
  • In‑depth understanding of the IT industry and technology.
  • Experience in strategy development, organizational design, initiative management, metrics application and awareness of major industry trends.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to assess client situations and provide actionable, outcome‑based business or technical advice.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and an evolved ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent relationship‑management skills, including experience working with senior technology and business leaders.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring senior‑level leaders.
  • Collaboration and team‑leadership abilities.
  • Strong time and client portfolio management skills.
  • Travel of 25% and upwards.
  • Ability to work with minimal administrative support.
