This Position reports to: Factory Tendering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELSP Division based in Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and collect all information from the FES devoted to the specific LV tender / offer opportunity.
  • Verify all the LV tender documents received from technical point of view.
  • Coordinate with Contractor/EPC's for any missing information's.
  • Prepare all materials requisitions and send the same to concerned people / team.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production and project management on all decisions taken technically.
  • Proper utilization of estimation tool and supporting tools on preparation of offer.
  • Maximum utilization of ABB group products in proposals & wide and firm knowledge of ABB group products is an advantage.
  • Map out all the costs necessary for developing the project costing.
  • Identifies potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels.
  • Define the correct solution and products to be used together with engineering/sales organization.
  • Prepare the technical/commercial offer following the customer requirements and the sales organization instructions.
  • Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
  • Compilation of offer and submit the same before the tender deadline.
  • Review contracts, agreements and order processing in the factory.
  • Providing contractor/EPC's with necessary technical support and updating them with new technology.
  • Follow up on the updated standard specification of the COG / Industrial / Data centers / other segments end client and ensure the compliance of group products.
  • Support the sales organization during technical meetings with the customer and pre-qualification.
  • Assist all sales activities in the office.
Qualifications for the role
  • The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor's university degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering.
  • At least 5-7 years of professional working experience in technical sales.
  • Wide market knowledge and product knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Technical experience in LV Switchgear and/or Automation would be a plus.
  • Superior Knowledge of switchgear and electrical systems, automation & communication as well as knowledge about various competitors & their products considered as great advantage.
  • Experience in working with LV switchgear systems.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent computer skills - MS Office, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
