Area(s) of Responsibility
Key Activities
Creative Show Direction
- Show creation and stage direction.
- Ability to choreograph and run blocking rehearsals.
- Give notes and feedback to cast.
- Give creative notes to Show Tech, Costuming, Production and Operations where applicable.
- Support Senior Creative leadership with implementing IP notes where required.
Character Training
- Train actors in multiple disciplines across Miral properties.
- Write, maintain and update character manuals.
- Work with the Operations team to ensure business needs are met.
Brand Creative Leadership
- Required to lead and support Entertainment Creative Teams in rehearsals, production and show quality maintenance to ensure all entertainment offerings continue to meet Miral and IP expectations.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with the Property and departmental management, technical crew and talent.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the production process, ensuring the show runs smoothly.
- Facilitate communication between the front of house and backstage teams.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Education and Qualifications
- Essential: A University degree or the equivalent professional experience for the required position: theatrical acting, improvisational acting, physical comedy, dancing, scripting, singing, composing, musician or stage management.
- Desirable: University degree related to the Arts, Liberal Arts, STEM, Business or equivalent continued or higher education.
Years of Experience
- Essential: 8+ years of experience with a specialization in theme parks or cruise ship entertainment industry in both large-scale productions and interactive experiential entertainment.
- 3+ years of Music Theater or Music Industry.
- 3+ years in management or leadership in entertainment development and maintenance.
Desirable: International experience.
Knowledge, Languages and Skills
- Essential: Professional experience related to talent development.
- Demonstrated skill set within creating, scripting, dance/choreography, music/vocals, musicianship, or music development.
- Professional working knowledge of entertainment industry.
- Proficient in English.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook.
- Desirable: Experience in PowerPoint.
