Job summary

A leading defense and security company is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their production team in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining electronic components and systems according to design specifications. You must have a diploma in Electronics with RF as a core discipline and at least 5 years of production experience, including relevant IPC Certifications. Strong communication skills in English are required, and proficiency in ERP systems is preferred. This role also involves ensuring compliance with company standards and UAE regulations.

Qualifications

Your role

You will be part of the highly motivated production team that works with Engineering to build Units at difference product life cycles. Optimize and develop the processes, methods and tools related to production. Support to set up an effective production flow and give feedback on the design to Engineering. Train new operators and Technician in RF, Digital & Analogues technologies.

Specific Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Technician:

• Assemble, Test and maintain baselines fit, form, functionality and application as per design requirements both Production and Repairs.
• Building Analyzing and record test results, and prepare ATR documentation etc
• Ability to inspect & detect defects on electronic components, PCBA, Mechanics etc
• Perform preventative or corrective maintenance on machinery, jigs, tools and fixtures that is designed to be maintained on site.
• Strong attention to detail and precision to ensure the correct assembly and installation of electro-mechanical equipment, panels, RF parts and systems.
• Support the production set up & improvements of material processing through Supply chain
• Support Production Engineering, Process Engineering and Industrialisation Engineering by ensuring that operations are executed in a lean and effective manner
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery are functioning efficiently and safely, in compliance with our company standards and UAE regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering team to troubleshoot complex issues
• Using of ERP for shop orders and any other related activities to the part and order.

Experience & Skills

Diploma or Higher Qualification in Electronics with RF as a core discpline or similar. The candidate need to have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in a class 3 Production environment, proven experience of several production areas including IPC Certification i.e IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-J-Standard, IPC 7711/7721, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• RF Experience with Digital and Analogue skills..
• Proficiency in using electronics and mechanical systems, tools, and equipment to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Ability to do inspection of PCBA, Mechanics, etc.
• Good problem-solving skills to identify and rectify challenges that arise during the assembly, installation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems and RF products.
• Soldering, Rework & Repair skills upto raballing of BGA’s etc.
• Ability to write programmes and execute programming.
• Strong understanding of production and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards related to production concepts.
• Experience in manufacturing and production techniques.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Communication, presentation, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments.
• You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
• Driver’s license

This position requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001+.
