A leading engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer to supervise the execution of high voltage overhead line works in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in EHV/HV transmission line projects, with strong knowledge of HSE and quality assurance procedures. Responsibilities include managing site operations, reviewing design drawings, and ensuring compliance with utility standards. UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
Electrical Engineer (Job Number: 2500023I)
Supervise and manage the execution of 132kV/220kV/400kV OHL works at site in line with approved drawings and specifications.
Review and verify design drawings, profiles, and sag‑tension calculations before implementation.
Coordinate with the civil team for foundation readiness and tower erection sequence.
Ensure tower erection, stringing, and sagging activities are carried out as per method statements and safety procedures.
Raise RFIs and coordinate with client/consultant for inspections and approvals at every stage.
Maintain daily progress reports, monitor productivity, and highlight any technical or logistical issues.
Verify materials and consumables as per approved material submittals (insulators, conductors, fittings, etc.).
Support in pre‑commissioning and commissioning of OHL, including final inspection and punch list clearance.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards throughout site activities.
Coordinate with project controls for progress reporting and schedule updates.
Prepare as‑built documentation, test records, and handover dossiers upon completion.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
5–7 years of professional experience in EHV/HV transmission line projects (132kV and above).
Hands‑on experience in design review, site execution, and commissioning of Overhead Transmission Lines (OHL).
Prior exposure to utility standards such as DEWA / TRANSCO / SEC / MEW or equivalent; DEWA/TAQA/EWE approvals mandatory.
Strong knowledge of project execution workflows, HSE standards, and quality assurance procedures in EPC environments.
Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal design/construction teams.
UAE / GCC experience preferred.
