The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the construction industry with a focus on residential villa building. Proficiency in document management systems like ACONEX and ASITE is essential, along with strong skills in MS Office. This role is pivotal for ensuring compliance and document accuracy across departments.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in document control or a similar role.
  • Middle East experience is mandatory.
  • Experience in the construction industry, especially residential villa building.
  • Proficient in document management systems ACONEX and ASITE.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain document control systems and procedures.
  • Manage the entire document lifecycle from creation to archiving.

Job description

Role: Document Controller

Location: Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive Document Controller to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of organizational documents while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth coordination across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control systems and procedures
  • Manage the entire document lifecycle: creation, review, approval, distribution, and archiving
  • Ensure documents are accurately indexed, stored, and quickly retrievable
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather, review, and organize documentation
  • Perform regular document audits to ensure completeness and compliance
  • Maintain strict version control and track all document revisions
  • Train internal teams on document control processes and best practices
  • Generate reports on document status, compliance metrics, and audit findings
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and document control standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in document control or a similar role
  • Middle East experience is mandatory
  • Experience in the construction industry—specifically residential villa building—is required
  • Proficiency in ACONEX and ASITE document management systems
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Solid understanding of filing, archiving, and database management
  • Experience with quality control procedures and data entry
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Relevant certifications in document management (preferred)
