Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Contracts Manager/SQS to oversee contract management, cost control, and commercial administration across multiple projects. The role will focus on safeguarding the company's contractual and financial interests, ensuring compliance with agreements, and supporting project delivery within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
  • Ensure all parties adhere to contractual obligations and timelines.
  • Draft contractual correspondence, notices, and variations in line with agreed terms.
  • Prepare cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and budget tracking.
  • Manage interim payment applications, certifications, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate claims, variations, and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and contractual documentation for audit and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
  • Support the project team with contractual advice and negotiation.
  • Act as a key point of contact between commercial and operational teams.
  • Provide regular reports on cost status, cash flow, and contractual issues.
  • Advise management on contractual exposures, risks, and potential disputes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in contract administration or QS role, preferably within the Cost Consultancy/Main Contracting sector.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC, JCT, NEC, or equivalent contract forms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and contract/cost management software.
