About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin Chinese Translator / Interpreter with strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, or marine engineering to support our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bridge communication between our engineers and Chinese equipment suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration on propulsion system projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation (manuals, engineering drawings, safety protocols, specifications) from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Provide real-time interpretation during video conferences, technical meetings, and training sessions.
• Develop and maintain glossaries of industry-specific terminology to ensure consistency.
• Support visiting Chinese technicians during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Facilitate negotiations with Chinese partners, vendors, and technical teams.
• Coordinate with Chinese manufacturers to resolve technical queries and support issues.
• Travel to China for factory visits, supplier audits, inspections, and training programs.
• Provide cultural insights to strengthen collaboration with Chinese stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
