A healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide high-quality support in clients' homes. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and meal preparation, while fostering a safe and respectful environment. Flexibility in working hours is essential, and relevant experience and qualifications in health and social care are preferred. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and professional caregiver to join our team and provide high‑quality person‑centred support to clients in their homes or in community settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence and create a safe, respectful and positive environment for those in their care.
Provide personal care including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming in a dignified and respectful manner.
Support clients with mobility needs including safe transfers, use of mobility aids and encouragement of independence.
Assist with medication prompts and administration of medicines where appropriate and in line with care plans and local regulations.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals, accommodate dietary requirements and assist with feeding if required.
Support with household tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, shopping and collecting prescriptions to maintain a safe living environment.
Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social engagement and meaningful activities.
Observe and monitor clients’ health and wellbeing, record changes and promptly report concerns to the care manager or healthcare professionals.
Follow and contribute to individual care plans, risk assessments and support plans, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies, health and safety procedures and infection control standards.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues and external professionals to coordinate care.
Attend team meetings, training and supervision to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
Relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g. NVQ/VRQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent experience preferred.
Proven experience in a caregiving or support worker role or demonstrable transferable experience.
Understanding of person‑centred care principles, safeguarding and infection control.
Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to complete accurate records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing reliability and flexibility with working hours.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills; proficiency with mobile devices or digital care recording systems is desirable.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for some roles (where applicable).
Empathy, patience and a respectful attitude towards people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and manage challenging situations calmly.
Willingness to undertake training and development, including mandatory certifications.
Previous experience supporting people with dementia, long‑term conditions or disabilities is an advantage.
Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays depending on service needs.
Travel between clients’ homes may be required; mileage allowance provided where applicable.
Role may involve physical activity such as assisting with mobility and moving equipment.
