The BIM Lead (Multidisciplinary) is responsible for driving Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation across all disciplines within complex projects. This role ensures seamless collaboration, compliance with standards, and delivery of high-quality BIM outputs throughout the project lifecycle. The BIM LEAD is also expected to be part of strategic planning and BIM unit growth planning.

Strategic BIM Leadership
  • Participate in the tender response process.
  • Highlight, analyze, understand, and communicate the appointing party requirements in the pre-award phase.
  • Support the winning team in building reliable and realistic estimates
  • Define project deliverables, build scope narratives, and lead the authoring of inclusions/exclusions lists.
  • Represent WSP in client/stakeholder communications.
  • Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) aligned with client requirements and organizational standards.
  • Define and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and quality assurance protocols across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison for BIM-related client interactions and ensure compliance with Employer Information Requirements (EIR) and Asset Information Requirements (AIR).
Project Coordination
  • Chair and lead the project BIM kick off meetings.
  • Lead forming, norming, storming, and performing BIM team setup stages.
  • Create/author the team charter and ground rules at the project kickoff.
  • Define project objective, deliverables, and milestones (based on the project requirements and contract obligations) and raise the team awareness of the importance of commitment through building a shared understanding of the same.
  • Manage and coordinate BIM deliverables across all disciplines and project task teams.
  • Lead clash detection, spatial coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Promote the importance of using advanced BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks, Revizto, BIM 360, ACC, BIM track, Dynamo, Rhino).
  • Configure and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) for efficient authoring, design collaboration, model coordination, data exchange and version control.
Technical Expertise
  • Oversee creation of BIM models, templates, families, and schedules with hands‑on proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, BIM 360, ACC and related platforms.
  • Knowledge of 4D (construction sequencing), 5D (cost estimation).
  • Superior experience of COBie information and spreadsheets generation.
  • Ensure interoperability between BIM models and analysis tools for design validation and performance optimization.
  • Lead and chair BIM coordination and collaboration meetings
  • Participate in design management meetings
  • Extensive communication with project directors, project managers, and design managers to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
  • Support the RFI authoring and responses, in addition to support project communication with different stakeholders and the appointing party.
Quality & Risk Management
  • Conduct BIM audits and health checks to maintain model integrity and compliance.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to BIM processes and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Supervise BIM Leads, BIM Discipline Leads, Coordinators and technicians, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Facilitate BIM training sessions and promote continuous improvement in digital delivery practices.
  • Foster collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Identify performance KPI’s.
Strategy
  • Analyze current practices and identify potential improvement areas.
  • Build BIM templates.
  • Create/enhance BIM strategy and workflow road maps.
  • Conduct training to bridge gaps.
  • Participate in team building activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or Architectural field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of broad AEC experience in multidisciplinary scope management on large-scale building projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in design.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and clearly is key for this position.
  • Mandatory proficiency and hands‑on experience with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk BIM 360/ACC.
  • Dynamo experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the ACONEX Environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Solibri, BIM Track, and Revizto would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Dynamo would be advantageous.
  • Team leadership and management is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of BS 8536, ISO 19650 series and other international standards.
  • Information Management and BIM-related certifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery.
  • Experience working within a multi‑national work environment is a must.
  • Experience in BIM Strategy implementation.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems.
  • High level of creativity and forward‑thinking with an analytical mindset.
  • High sense of quality-driven deliverables.
