Job summary

MTEC ELECTROMECHANICAL WORKS L.L.C in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Document Controller with strong Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) expertise to manage project documentation on building projects in the UAE. You will be responsible for maintaining records, controlling revisions, distributing documents, and ensuring timely submissions and approvals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of Document Control experience in UAE building projects.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Aconex experience is an advantage.
• Experience with MEP, architectural, structural, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Good communication, coordination, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• UAE construction project experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documents, drawings, correspondence, submittals, RFIs, MIRs, inspection requests, method statements, and other technical records.
• Manage document workflows and submissions through Autodesk Construction Cloud ACC.
• Upload, distribute, track, revise, and archive documents per project procedures.
• Maintain document registers, revision control, transmittals, and submission logs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, and Project Management teams for submissions and approvals.
• Monitor consultant and client submissions and follow up on pending approvals and comments.
• Ensure latest approved drawings and documents are available to relevant project teams.
• Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems for easy retrieval.
• Track shop drawings, submittals, technical documents, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Prepare regular document status reports and submission approval tracking reports.
• Assist with project close-out documentation including as-built drawings, OM manuals, warranties, and final handover.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure document control procedures are consistently followed.
