Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in managing daily financial operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The role ensures accuracy in financial records, strong internal controls, timely reporting, and effective cost management across the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Review general ledger entries, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate closing of books within agreed timelines.
- Support preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and variances; highlight risks and opportunities.
- Support cost control initiatives and operational efficiency reviews.
- Supervise AP and AR processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Review vendor reconciliations and customer balances.
- Coordinate with operations and procurement on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE regulations.
- Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and financial procedures.
- Assist in monitoring cash flow and bank balances.
- Support bank reconciliations and coordination with banks.
- Help manage payment schedules and cash planning.
- Guide and support junior finance staff.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, Procurement, and Management.
- Participate in finance process improvements and system enhancements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- UAE experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
