Job summary

A leading engineering company in Abu Dhabi seeks a qualified Lifting Engineer to develop and review lifting plans, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires experience in heavy lifting operations, technical guidance for operators, and strong knowledge of HSE regulations. This full-time position involves onsite supervision across both offshore and onshore oil and gas project sites, demanding adherence to strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is essential.
• Certification in LOLER, LEEA, or equivalent lifting standards is required.
• Experience in heavy lifting operations within oil and gas projects is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review lifting plans in compliance with safety regulations.
• Select appropriate lifting equipment and rigging gear.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe lifting activities.

Job description

• Develop and review lifting plans in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Select appropriate lifting equipment rigging gear and cranes for various operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe of lifting activities.
• Provide technical guidance to rigging and crane operators.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (LOLER BS ASME ADNOC Aramco etc..
• Coordinate with site engineers HSE teams and project managers.
• Perform inspections and audits of lifting equipment.
• Train and mentor teams on lifting safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Certification in LOLER LEEA or equivalent lifting standards.
• Experience in heavy lifting operations in oil & gas projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD lift planning software and load calculations.
