Description

The position is for an established and productive professional in Broking who works independently. He or she supports the development of solutions for client needs, responds to client and market queries and provides support to the placing brokers with their responsibilities. The role will involve interaction with senior stakeholders within the IMEA business. This is your opportunity to support the growth of the region at Guy Carpenter.

What can you expect

You will be responsible for supporting the successful placement and servicing of a number of clients across the Region. You will work closely with placing brokers developing and implementing operational plans and procedures in line with established standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with colleagues based in other regions across the IMEA region to ensure that placements data and processes meet business and client needs.

We will rely on you to:
  • Analyse risks and assist with developing solutions for clients needs.
  • Assist with responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Production of placement slips to the current MRC standard and to be familiar with latest market trends.
  • Production of comprehensive underwriting presentations for both new and existing Clients.
  • Negotiate with reinsurers during quotation/placement process including receiving and monitoring technical questions from underwriters and advising clients as to responses.
  • Extensive data review cleansing and manipulation for client and renewal presentations including liaison with clients regarding the interpretation/assessment of such data.
  • Assist Brokers on client assignments and placements be accountable for all aspects of service and support for the client.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their capabilities and expand on their knowledge of reinsurance.
  • Update management on issues progress etc. regularly and upon request to ensure high quality client service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client demands and requests internally.
  • Manage a strong collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders including accounting and settlement broking and operational colleagues to ensure alignment of initiatives.
  • Monitor accounts (payments collections etc.) anticipating and preventing problems when possible.
  • Continue to build on the Guy Carpenter Excellence framework ensuring all processes and tools are aligned and comply with Professional Standards and governance requirements.
