Accountant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the company’s overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, petty cash, and expense tracking.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Manage invoicing, billing, and follow‑ups for client payments.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and prepare VAT filings.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions and ensure proper filing of records.
- Coordinate with management and other departments regarding budget tracking and financial planning.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience in the construction, contracting, or engineering industry.
- Familiarity with cost control, project accounting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Exposure to audit processes and financial analysis.
