Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Manager to lead large-scale residential developments. With 20+ years' experience, the ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who balances technical expertise with strategic oversight, while mentoring teams and giving back to the industry. - Oversee and manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale residential property development projects.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, site managers, and contractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and methodologies.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including developers, contractors, consultants, and local authorities.
- Monitor compliance with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge transfer, and innovation across the business.
- Travel regularly to project sites to provide hands-on oversight and support.
- 20+ years’ proven experience in large-scale construction management, ideally within residential property development.
- Strong track record of delivering multi-million-rand developments successfully.
- Exceptional people management and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, project management, and compliance requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between sites.
