SCOPE:
Responsible for developing and managing export sales strategies, identifying market opportunities, and driving revenue growth in the Southern African region.
Strategic country engagement includes Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique.
The role involves building strong relationships with distributors, partners, and key customers while ensuring compliance with local trade regulations and company policies and driving the exports team to a high performing standard.

Duties & Responsibilities
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Develop and implement export sales strategies to achieve company sales targets in Southern Africa. Execute with the respective sales teams
- Identify new business opportunities within the operational landscape of countries we operate in and expand the customer base in these regions
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with distributors, wholesalers and key accounts
- To promote and enhance customer relationships locally within the group and with other customer groups
OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with factories & logistics teams to manage shipping, documentation, and order fulfillment
- Retrieve and provide available stock sheet reports to all our Factories and distribute to relevant Agents/Representatives and customers
- Extract backorder reports and manage portfolio distribution so that stock is allocated to open orders in line with various products
- Manage and communicate production plans to customers as and when necessary
- Ensure efficiency in logistics optimization to maximize efficiencies when delivering to customers
- Monitor payment collections and ensure financial transactions are completed as per agreed terms
REPORTING & PERFORMANCE TRACKING
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management including monthly input to the operational board
- Manage the monthly income statements working closely with the finance department on cost center performance to KPI’s set
- Involvement in budget setting and performance to budget (cost centre expenditure and revenue performance)
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives
- Provide regular feedback on market conditions, sales team performance, customer preferences, and competitor activities
- Develop corresponding action plans to support and track sales activities
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Marketing or Sales
- Practical experience in a similar position with key understanding in export markets
- Good understanding and examples of executing sales and marketing strategies
- Firm understanding on budget management, international trade, and taxations
- SAP experience and knowledge
