Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Dry Goods Department, based at Springs.
The successful incumbent will report to the Dry Goods Manager.
- Effective and efficient management of dry goods stock
- Control and limit stock variances including waste
- Manage the Dry Goods store functions to meet targets and continually improve operational methods
- Control loading and offloading of contracted transport effectively
- Maintain acceptable safety and housekeeping standards in the department
- Conduct departmental ICCs (Monthly)
- Operational involvement in daily activities
- Ensure competent and motivated subordinates
- Develop subordinates’ development plans
- Implement innovation and business improvements to support operational goals
- ND in Logistics, Warehousing, or an equivalent qualification
- 3-5 years of experience in controlling/leadership functions within a warehouse environment
- Background in stores or warehousing
- Experience managing subordinates with strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience is advantageous
- Dynamic, energetic, and innovative individual
- Analytical and proactive mindset
- Effective communication skills with suppliers and internal customers
- Knowledge of administrative principles
- Understanding of ISO and HACCP systems
