IT Business Analyst, Solutions Designer, Business Systems Analyst, Software, Telecoms, Managed Services, Warrington, Cheshire, Hybrid working

My client, a long-established managed service provider is looking to add an experienced Business Analyst to their team.

The purpose of the Business Analyst is to design how customers products and to design changes to those products. The role is a combination of a business analyst and systems analyst. The designs cover how to use the software from end user and operational perspectives, interfaces specification and the logic the software must perform. As a Business Analyst you will work closely with development and test to build the solution and more widely with the Project team to supports transition to operational environments

Role Responsibilities of the Business Analyst;

* Gather requirements
* Identify, qualify and document functional and non-functional requirements
* Document the requirements using the most appropriate technique for the change e.g. Requirements, User Stories, Diagrams etc.
* Design Solutions
* Develop the business requirements into a functional solution
* Agree the use cases to be supported and their inputs and outputs
* Work with 3rd parties to agree interfaces
* Define the user experience
* Enable the business and operational implementation of the change
* Document the business logic to be converted into code
* Produce High Level Definitions
* Scope the end-to-end solution for new implementations
* Define the interactions with 3rd parties
* Agree the high-level use cases to be supported
* Develop Business Processes
* Design and map the business and operational processes required to support the solution
* Support Project Delivery
* Commercial awareness of the internal and external budgetary constraints and managing work accordingly within those constraints
* Provide input and support to development, test and implementation as designs move through the lifecycle
* Act as the bridge between the customer/stakeholder and the delivery team during thebuild/QA part of the lifecycle
* Collaborate with customers and stakeholders, understanding their needs and what success looks like for them, and represent those user/customer needs and priorities into the delivery team
* Create and communicate the product vision to the delivery team
* provide regular communication and early visibility of software to the customer to keep them engaged
* Awareness and compliance of ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO22301

As an experienced Business Analyst you will ideally have the following experience;

* At least 3-4 years experience as a Business Analyst
* Experience of working in a telco/telecoms or managed service environment.
* Understanding of software design: databases, user interfaces, APIs, batch functionality, architecture
* Ability to quickly learn new information about IT systems and business processes from an as-is perspective
* Software design (e.g. can write Functional Specifications, Interface Contracts)
* Experience of working in different methodologies, e.g. Waterfall, Agile
* Business process design (e.g. can produce flow diagrams in various styles)
* Ability to turn complex information into easy-to-understand documents for different audiences such as business departments and Engineering teams
* High proficiency in using documentation software including MS Office
* Good personal communication both one to one and in groups: in person, phone, email, messaging, white boards
* Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Ability to work with multiple operating systems and computer platforms
* Excellent Software Analysis/Development skills
* Excellent understand of CMP batch processes
* Comprehensive understanding of our product architecture, including deployment topology, communication protocols and configuration
* Proven experience testing web services using soap UI (open source functional testing tool)

Located in Birchwood, near Warrington and easily commutable from Liverpool, Wigan, Lancashire, Cheshire, Manchester, Wigan, and Merseyside.

It would be a huge bonus if you have experience of working within a Telecoms or Manager Service industry but this is by no means essential.

You must have exceptional client facing and communication skills.
