Job description

An established organisation in the FMCG/manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join their team in Ogies. This role reports directly to the General Manager and will play a key part in overseeing both financial and operational functions on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving business performance, driving financial strategy, and supporting operational excellence, while leading and developing a team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations and support the General Manager in business management
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Manage risk analysis, financial reporting, and stock balancing
  • Lead the implementation of system-driven, on-time reporting processes
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement remedial actions
  • Monitor performance against key value drivers and drive improvements
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements
  • Optimise fixed asset utilisation and drive energy efficiency
  • Lead, motivate, and develop finance and operational teams

Minimum Requirements:

  • BCom in Finance, Business, or Commercial Management
  • Completed articles with a solid understanding of IFRS
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial and Operational Management role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in management reporting, stock control, and risk analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in annual budget processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff management capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure
