Job Overview

The Sales Executive for Heavy Commercial Vehicles is responsible for driving sales and building customer relationships in the commercial vehicle sector.

Responsibilities include identifying potential clients, presenting product offerings, negotiating deals, and meeting sales targets.

The role requires maintaining a strong understanding of the market, product features, and competitor activity to provide tailored solutions.

The Sales Executive manages the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a smooth customer experience, and collaborates with the service and finance departments to offer comprehensive solutions.

Regular follow-ups and relationship management are essential for fostering long-term customer loyalty.

Main Job Activities
  1. Sales Performance: Develop sales plans, identify new business opportunities, maintain existing customer database, achieve daily call rates, demonstrate vehicles, verify financial arrangements, and ensure proper vehicle handover.
  2. Customer Service: Attend to walk-in and telephonic inquiries promptly, follow up with potential buyers, ensure customer satisfaction, and uphold the company's brand and reputation.
  3. Administration: Complete documentation accurately, handle trade papers, maintain transaction records, and collect payments upon vehicle delivery.
  4. Product and Business Knowledge: Attend training, stay updated on industry trends, and participate in sales meetings.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 3 years of solid experience as a Sales Executive in Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
  • Knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz brand, processes, and systems.
  • Proven retail experience, especially in automotive sales.
  • Minimum Grade 12; post-matric qualifications are a plus.
  • Driver's license (Code 10).
Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Product knowledge, MS Office proficiency (Kerridge).
  • Customer orientation, resilience, and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and emotional maturity.
