Job Overview:
To identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks to protect the organization and enhance its resilience. To implement principles and standards to adequately protect employees, suppliers, customers, visitors, company assets, operational infrastructure, capital goods, know-how and value-adding processes from injury, damage or loss as well as unwanted interference and disturbance. To mitigate risks associated with vehicle crime as it relates to company vehicles - to try and prevent DTSA and DTFS vehicles from receiving grey imports, cloned and duplicated vehicles. To work closely with relevant stakeholders and law enforcement to recover stolen vehicles, both local and cross border based on the territories we operate in.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and systems based on DTAG Corporate Security Guidelines and any applicable local legislation. Oversee access control, surveillance, and security operations across the DTSA Pretoria Campus. Conduct regular audits and inspections of security infrastructure and protocols. Identify and assess operational risks as it relates to security management and overall property management. Manage and maintain incident response and reporting.
Lead investigations into security breaches, incidents, or misconduct as it relates to site security. Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings and actions taken. Present risk and security reports to senior management and key stakeholders including DTAG Corporate Security. Support DTSA Human Resources with employee investigations on request and/or where applicable.
Manage the relationship with the appointed external security services supplier, ensuring timely delivery of agreed upon products and services. Negotiate future RFQ's and contracts in collaboration with Procurement. Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and compliance with company guidelines. Collaborate with security relevant suppliers to ensure smooth coordination of security services, such as alarm monitoring, CCTV maintenance, and access control systems. Address and resolve any supplier-related issues, ensuring continuous improvement in service quality.
Verifying the authenticity of DTSA Trucks and Buses (both new and used) in collaboration with local law enforcement where applicable. Key activities include: Authenticating DTSA vehicles, reviewing various documentation requests (Manufacturing Certificates, Manufacturing Letters & Certificates of Conformity), Reviewing requests for processing changes (Engine, Data updates), Managing vehicle status updates (Marking as stolen), Reviewing vehicle key analysis requests, overseeing vehicle and parts scrapping procedures - split between 'with' or 'without' value and Coordinating MIB release requests.
Develop and implement plans to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and continuity of operations. Lead crisis response efforts, conduct training, and continuously improve procedures based on risk assessments and post incident evaluations.
