Essential Health Pharmacy Group is recruiting for an IT Technician. This role will involve a combination of IT infrastructure, systems management and networking. The position is based at our Head Office in Brackenfell.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Install and configure IT equipment: Computers, laptops, laying of network cables, install of IP Phones, installation and configure of IP-CCTV camera’s
2. Maintain computer networks
3. Create firewalls and update virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
4. Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate network issues to employees and management
5. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
6. Provide end user support
7. Monitor software solutions
8. Troubleshoot software issues and end-user problems
9. Support software integration and associated infrastructure
10. Provide on-site network support
11. Ensure the alignment of technology and business objectives
12. Keep abreast of the latest technology and process improvements with a focus on continuous improvement
13. Ensure efficient and cost-effective BAU support is delivered to the customer in line with the business objectives
14. Manage Microsoft Server
15. Engage frequently with the pharmacies to maintain awareness of expectations and service delivery experiences
16. Perform ad hoc responsibilities as required to support the operational requirements of the pharmacies and central office
17. Travel between pharmacies from time to time

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Completed IT related National Diploma (Required)
2. Advanced skills in using Microsoft products, especially Excel (Required)
3. IT Degree (Desirable)
4. ITIL V3 Certified (Desirable)
5. 3-5 years in a similar role (Desirable)
6. Linux knowledge (Desirable)
7. Knowledge of Unisolve Pharmacy program (Desirable)
