About the Role
You’ll take ownership of key financial processes including cashbook processing, VAT reconciliations, fixed asset management, and more. Your role is essential in maintaining accurate records, supporting financial reporting, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bookkeeping to trial balance
2. Process and reconcile cashbooks and bank statements
3. Handle full debtors and creditors functions
4. Manage VAT reconciliations and fixed asset depreciation
5. Process journals (general, salary, accruals, etc.)
6. Maintain trial balance reconciliations and accuracy
7. Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
8. Manage international payments
9. Perform stock and inventory control for accounting purposes
10. Handle bank correspondence (EOIs, BOEs, NEPs)
11. Assist with general admin: SARS/bank queries, courier handling, and more
12. Monitor and manage daily bank balances
13. Review trial balance for processing accuracy

Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
2. Proficiency in Sage 200 Evolution and Microsoft Excel
3. Qualification in Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
4. Experience in a fintech environment (preferred)
5. Strong understanding of financial principles, reconciliations, and reporting
