How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Plant Engineer within the ALLISA organisation, under the supervision of the Facility Manager, provides leadership and direction in his domain of expertise.
The incumbent provides direction and expertise to the operating teams by promoting the LI WBL & HUB reliability strategies, deploying industrial legacy programs, managing continuous and sustainable improvement, developing rigorous processes and work standards that ensure consistent levels of quality and improved performance, and ensures the roll out of new initiatives to accompany the transformation of the Operations to the next step improvements in Operational Excellence for ALLISA, especially with the Facility initiative, in close cooperation with the Facility Manager and other key stakeholders within the primary production.
Perform ASU energy evaluations to analyse energy consumption, compare actual performance to design and/or historical performance, identify opportunities to optimize energy efficiency, reduce CO2 emission and operating costs, and develop action plans and procedures for operational improvement. Identify and develop Advanced Process Control (APC) projects for plant running mode optimisation and plant controller fine tuning or implementation of additional control features, when required. Contribute to the development of the Efficiency Monitoring System (EMS) for early detection of efficiency loss, process deviation, valve malfunction or instrumentation drift with the long-term objective to enhance the reliability of the plant. Contribute to complex troubleshooting, in collaboration with the Reliability Manager to ensure that incidents (S1/S2 – L1/L2) are analysed. Contribute, in collaboration with the operating teams, to the follow-up of recurrent and minor incidents (L3). Develop/replicate identified GYM and perform AEP projects, in coordination with the Project team, to ensure improved operation of assets and to reach a new performance step of the plant (deriming extension, production debottlenecking, cooling water circuit, anti surge adjustment, O2 recovery, etc.).
Ensure professional communication, behaviour and actions. Develop the right expertise for better information, faster feedback, collaboration and management decisions. Develop a spread of knowledge, collective commitments, sharing of best practices, capitalisation on technical events and standards knowledge improvement. Approve MOC’s as per competency level and encourage experimentation and learning on rapid cycles. Establish and maintain a positive impact on employee engagement by influencing the mindsets, behaviors, and thinking required to sustain a lean enterprise culture.
Participate in the assessment of new technologies, new products or new suppliers. Contribute to new ideas, thinking and approaches, e.g the deployment of the SIO program, as supported by business.
Support and execute the ALLISA SHE strategy to achieve zero harm. Ensure that plans are executed and team objectives are achieved consistently in a safe work environment.
