Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Wedding & Function Catering Manager to lead the events team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role combines on-site coordination with off-site planning to deliver exceptional wedding and function catering experiences.

You will manage client consultations, menu design and costing, vendor coordination, and post-event feedback to drive improvements while maintaining adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of catering management or related hospitality roles focusing on weddings/functions.
• Strong client consultation and sales track record.
• Excellent food & beverage service, menu planning, and costing knowledge.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of wedding and function catering and ensure flawless event execution.
• Consult with clients to understand needs, preferences, and budget, offering expert recommendations.
• Develop customized menus and beverage packages, accommodating dietary requirements.
• Oversee event setup, service delivery, and breakdown with high service standards.
• Lead and coordinate catering staff during events with clear directions.
• Manage vendor relationships (florists, rentals, entertainment) and maintain client communication.
• Control costs and budgets for each event; ensure health and safety compliance.
• Contribute to sales by identifying opportunities and building client relationships.
