Placements24 is seeking a Senior Catering Operations Supervisor to lead on-site catering for events in Upington, Northern Cape. You will supervise teams, coordinate logistics, and ensure service excellence and strict food safety standards.

The role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional client experiences during corporate and private events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in catering operations, event service or hospitality supervision.
• Proven experience in supervisory or team lead role in catering/hospitality.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards and event execution.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead catering teams during event setup, service and breakdown.
• Ensure operations are executed safely and to client specifications.
• Manage on-site logistics including service, equipment setup and cleanliness.
• Train and motivate staff and ensure adherence to service protocols.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards across activities.
• Act as primary on-site client contact and address needs promptly.
• Conduct pre-event briefings to ensure clear event details.
• Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment at sites.
• Contribute to operational improvements and cost efficiency.
• Report on event execution, client feedback and challenges to management.
