Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Vice President of Performance Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO function across multiple client verticals. You will own channel strategy, budget allocation, and overall department performance, while the strategists execute plans and budgets scale.

You will be the client-facing owner when accounts underperform, set quality standards, and shape reporting. This is a management seat with accountability for results and hiring the next generation of experts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Experience turning around underperforming accounts: provide context and results.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account is underperforming.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Oversee the PPC and SEO strategists; define quality standards and audits.
• Ensure honest reporting and achieve client results across the function.
• Lead escalation when an account is at risk and guide the fix with the strategist.
• Participate in hiring plans and conduct first-round interviews for the team.
