Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a Vice President of Performance Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO function across multifamily, B2B and technical verticals. You will own channel strategy and budget decisions as the strategists execute the plans, ensuring overall department performance.

You will manage senior strategists, shape audit standards and reporting integrity, and maintain client-facing oversight. The role includes hiring plans and high-level accountability for results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Deep knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Agency leadership experience with multiple accounts.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account is underperforming.
• Ability to set and enforce audits, reporting standards, and process quality.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation for PPC and SEO.
• Lead the PPC and SEO strategists, setting quality bar and development plans.
• Ensure reporting honesty and GA4 attribution accuracy across clients.
• Own client communications and escalation when accounts are at risk.
• Plan hiring for the department and conduct first-round interviews.
