Job summary

Blacksmith Agency runs PPC and SEO for clients across multifamily, B2B and technical verticals. As Vice President of Performance Marketing you lead that department. The PPC strategist and the SEO strategist report to you and they are the specialists in their channels.

Right now nobody owns this function, which is the whole reason this seat is open. You will be the client-facing owner when accounts are underperforming, own channel strategy, and guide budget allocation as accounts scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Deep knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Experience managing multiple accounts in an agency.
• Ability to own channel strategy and budget allocation.
• Comfortable with client-facing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the PPC and SEO teams’ quality and development.
• Set standards for audits and reporting.
• Ensure client results and honest reporting.
• Escalate account risks and direct fixes with strategists.
• Define channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Explain to sales what we can credibly deliver.
• Lead hiring and first-round interviews within a quarter.
