Placements24, on behalf of a prominent regional bank, is seeking a diligent Branch Operations Manager to lead the Upington branch in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and managing operational risks.

You will oversee cash handling, vault operations, transaction processing, staff training, and compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years in banking operations or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, services and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily branch operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee cash management, vault operations and ATM functions.
• Ensure timely processing of all customer transactions and requests.
• Enforce compliance with banking regulations, policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor branch staff on operations and customer service.
• Monitor operational risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
• Manage branch resources, including equipment and supplies.
• Address and resolve customer operational queries promptly.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to achieve branch objectives.
