Job summary

Hotel Group in Sandton is seeking an accomplished and commercially focused Multi-Property Reservations Specialist to manage reservations for its Sandton and Cape Town properties. You will oversee group, conference and individual bookings across a combined portfolio of 988 rooms, converting enquiries into confirmed business and delivering a seamless client experience.

Extensive experience with OPERA PMS and OPERA Sales & Catering is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OPERA PMS and OPERA Sales & Catering.
• Experience in reservations or events for large hotels (300+ rooms).
• Strong sales and negotiation skills focused on conversion and revenue.
• Excellent organisational skills and disciplined administration.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in bookings.
• Ability to manage multiple bookings across two properties.
• Professional, client-focused communication.
• Capable of delivering in high-volume environments.
• Willingness to work across Sandton and Cape Town properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage group, conference and individual reservations across Sandton and Cape Town properties.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through effective sales and negotiation.
• Work towards monthly conversion, revenue and upselling targets.
• Manage each enquiry from initial contact through to final invoicing and post-event reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate reservation records using OPERA PMS and OPERA Sales & Catering.
• Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure quotations and payment schedules are accurate.
• Coordinate booking requirements with operational teams in both locations.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and resolve booking-related issues.
• Ensure service standards, booking accuracy and follow-through.
