Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Reservations Agent with at least 2 years’ dedicated reservations experience in a large, high-volume city hotel. Proficiency in OPERA PMS is essential, and you must be willing to rotate shifts, including overnight hours.

You will handle reservations across channels, upsell where possible, and work closely with Front Office, Revenue, Sales and Guest Experience teams to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ dedicated reservations experience in a large, high-volume city hotel environment.
• Strong telephone, email and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and booking accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel reservations accurately across all booking channels.
• Process new reservations, amendments and cancellations on OPERA PMS.
• Respond to telephone, email and online enquiries professionally and timely.
• Ensure guest profiles, rates, packages and special requests are captured accurately.
• Upsell rooms, packages and services where appropriate.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Revenue, Sales and Guest Experience teams.
