Job summary

Craven Cottage CC in Sandton, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Reservations & Sales Coordinator to manage group accommodations, conferences, and individual bookings across two properties. You will convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through skilled sales and negotiation.

The role requires hands-on OPERA PMS experience and the ability to meet monthly targets, with strong organisational and communication skills in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with OPERA PMS and OPERA Sales & Catering.
• Experience in reservations or events within large hotels (300+ rooms).
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on conversion and revenue.
• Excellent organisational skills and disciplined administration.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple bookings across two properties and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and a client-focused approach.
• Proactive, energetic and commercially aware.

Responsibilities

• Manage group accommodation, conference and individual reservations across both properties.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through effective sales and negotiation.
• Work towards monthly conversion, revenue and upselling targets.
• Manage each enquiry from initial contact through to final invoicing and post-event reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate reservation records using OPERA PMS and OPERA Sales & Catering.
• Manage room blocks and prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Ensure quotations, contracts, rooming lists and payment schedules are accurate and timely.
• Prepare final invoices and maintain complete booking documentation.
• Communicate booking requirements to operational teams in Sandton and Cape Town.
• Coordinate arrangements to ensure smooth delivery of group, conference and individual bookings.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and resolve issues proactively.
• Take ownership of service standards, booking accuracy and follow-through.
