Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Operations Manager in Sandton to lead network operations and drive performance. You will manage a team of engineers and support staff, implement robust strategies, and ensure service reliability across a large-scale network.

The role requires strong leadership, IP networking knowledge (4G/5G) and ITIL familiarity. A hybrid work arrangement is offered with a focus on optimizing customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree is advantageous.
• 7+ years in telecom network operations with 3+ in leadership.
• Proven experience with large-scale networks and SLAs.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day telecom network operations with high availability.
• Lead and mentor network engineers, technicians and support staff.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and best practices.
• Manage monitoring, incident handling and problem resolution.
• Oversee vendor relations and SLAs, plan upgrades and expansions.
• Manage budgets and control costs while preserving quality.
• Ensure regulatory and security compliance and ITIL alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement and report KPIs.
