Placements24 is seeking a strategic Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead its Port Elizabeth-based operations team. The role focuses on maximizing uptime, service delivery, and driving efficiency across the network infrastructure.

You will direct engineers and technicians, implement best practices, and shape the operational strategy for a key player in the telecommunications sector. This is a senior, leadership-oriented position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecoms network operations.
• At least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven track record in leading technical teams.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and NOC operations.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the network operations center (NOC) team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for network monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Oversee the performance of all network infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Plan and coordinate network maintenance activities and upgrades to minimize disruption.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
